UCLA Physiology Outreach Program (POP)

About

The UCLA Physiology Outreach Program places 8 to 10 Los Angeles-area high school students each year individually in UCLA faculty research labs for a one-month mentored research experience, with students first securing engagement from their school's science teacher or principal before applying. Applications open once a year in early spring for that summer's cohort. The program emphasizes personalized, one-on-one mentorship over a group cohort model.
