UC Irvine Summer Youth Science Fellowship Program (YSFP)
About
The Summer Youth Science Fellowship Program, run by the UC Irvine Cancer Research Institute, places about 20 Orange County high school students each year in UCI research labs and research teams for a six-week, mentored introduction to basic and population cancer science. Fellows work roughly 30 hours per week, attend scientific seminars and professional-development workshops, and present their work at a closing research symposium.
